DO NOT BE AFRAID, CHRIST IS IN THE STORM
On this 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time, our liturgy invites us to listen to God, who often comes to us in the silence of our heart. We are equally encouraged to put our trust in Jesus whenever we face the storms of life. the Lord says to us: “Take courage! It is I; do not be afraid.”
The storm may be greater than your strength, but it is never greater than the power of Christ. Your marriage may be facing a storm. Your work may be facing a storm. Your children may be causing you anxiety. Your finances may be under pressure. You may be carrying grief or loneliness. You may be uncertain about the future. But do not despair. Christ is in the storm. And His word to you today is: “Take courage! It is I; do not be afraid.”
Dear brothers and sisters, as you navigate the storms of life, remember that Christ is not absent from your boat. Entire Homily
